Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Lawyer ToDo ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Lawyer ToDo is a task and case management application designed for legal professionals. The Service includes a web application and a companion iPhone app that sync together to help you manage clients, matters, tasks, issues, and time tracking.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscription & Payment

Lawyer ToDo offers a free tier with limited features and a paid Pro subscription. Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Settings page. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is the intellectual property of Lawyer ToDo. You retain full ownership of all data you enter into the Service. We claim no intellectual property rights over your content.

7. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You can export or delete your data at any time through the Settings page.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lawyer ToDo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through the Settings page. Upon termination, all of your data will be permanently deleted.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice in the application. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
